Step 1
Create the channel
Open Channels, choose Web Chat, and enter a unique widget ID and a strong widget secret. The channel becomes available immediately in the shared inbox.

Widget workflow
The web widget uses the same knowledge, inbox, contact records, lead scoring, and human handoff model as the other available channels. Add an optional delivery webhook when your widget receives replies by push; otherwise it can poll the conversation API.

Step 3
Protect the secret
Keep the widget secret on your server and sign widget deliveries. Never include it in public browser JavaScript.
